Foot reflexology

Foot reflexology, shoes and socks off

Steady pressure on the soles, toes and ankles, in a set order, with a towel over your ankles. Everything above stays dressed.

Sessions run 20, 30, 45 or 60 minutes, or as part of a hand and foot session. Walk in for a short one, or book ahead for a longer one.

  • Only shoes and socks come off

  • A towel over your ankles

  • Pressure set by you

A therapist's hands pressing the arch of a client's foot beside the ankle on a white towel

The tradition

What reflexology is, and is not

A hands-on tradition, not a way to treat organs.

  • What it is

    • Steady pressure on the feet and hands

    • Worked in a set order, heel to toe

    • At a pressure you choose and can change

    • A quiet way to rest

  • What it is not

    • A diagnosis of anything

    • A way to treat an organ or a condition

    • A reason to skip seeing your doctor

    • Done on a wound or an injured foot

In the session

What happens, step by step

  1. 01

    Step 1: Check in

We ask about pressure and any foot that is tender, and you sit back with your shoes and socks off.

  2. 02

    Step 2: Warm up

A towel over your ankles and slow strokes across both feet.

  3. 03

    Step 3: Work the soles

Pressing and rolling from heel to toe on one foot, then the other.

  4. 04

    Step 4: Finish

Ankles and a few slow strokes, then a minute to rest before your socks go back on.

Before you book

Pressure, covering and who should ask first

  • Pressure

We ask first and check again in the middle. Lighter or firmer, just say.

  • Covered

A towel over your ankles. Nothing above them is uncovered.

  • Who should ask first

If you are pregnant, have diabetes or have a wound or recent surgery on your foot, ask your doctor before booking.

Who does reflexology

  • Kasey Schultz in a white top at the massage table, holding a client's foot in both hands

    Kasey Schultz

    Licensed massage therapist

Kasey does the foot, hand and combined reflexology sessions and most of the late afternoons and Sundays. She asks before each new spot and pauses when you ask her to. She speaks English.

About foot reflexology

Does reflexology treat anything?

No. Reflexology is a hands-on tradition: steady pressure on the feet and hands, in a set order. We don't diagnose, and we don't say a spot on your foot belongs to an organ that needs care. If something worries you, ask your doctor.

Do I need to shower first?

No. Come as you are from work. We have a basin and a towel if you would like to rinse your feet.

Can I keep my socks on?

Socks come off for reflexology, and go back on afterward. If you prefer, book hand reflexology, which takes nothing off.

Book foot reflexology.

Twenty minutes to sixty, shoes and socks off.
