Our policies
Read these before you book. Each one starts from the same promise: you choose, you are covered, and you can stop.
Undressing and draping
Tuina is done through loose clothing, and a blanket covers whatever you would like covered. Reflexology takes off only your shoes and socks, and a towel covers your ankles and the rest of your legs. Nothing else is ever uncovered.
Pressure, consent and stopping
Before we start we ask how firm you like it and whether any spot should be left alone. Tell us at any time to go lighter or firmer. You can pause, change position or end the session whenever you like, for any reason, and we stop right away.
When to ask your doctor first
If you are pregnant, ask your doctor or midwife before you book, and tell your therapist how far along you are. If you have a wound on your foot, diabetes or a recent surgery, ask your doctor first. We do not diagnose.
Booking and deposits
Walk-ins for the 20- and 30-minute sessions need nothing but an available therapist. For 45 minutes and longer, book a time online or by phone. A card holds the 90-minute sessions, and the deposit goes toward your session.
Canceling and running late
Please give us 24 hours to move or cancel a booked session, since a therapist has held that time. If you are running late, we shorten the session so the next person starts on time. If you are ill, tell us and we will move your visit.
If you miss an appointment
If you do not come and we cannot reach you, the visit counts as a missed appointment and any deposit is kept. A quick call or text lets us find you another time instead.
Children and companions
Massage is for adults. A friend or family member may sit with you through a reflexology session, and a child may not wait in the room. Ask us if you would like to book two sessions side by side.
Oils, scents and allergies
Tuina and reflexology are done bare-handed, with no oil unless you ask for a little lotion on your feet. Tell us about a fragrance, nut or lotion allergy when you book and we will leave it out.
Redos and refunds
If a session was not right, tell us within a week and we will look at it together.
Tipping
Tipping is optional and always welcome. You can add it when you pay at the desk or when you book.
